SAM/DAM long weekend 2006 - and you can come too!
This fine run is being organised jointly by SAM and DAM folks. Here's the plan...

Friday 29 September
For those who can take the day off, there'll be a jolly fine ride (the long way) down to Exmouth. The route will be varied and entertaining, akin to one of the world-famous SAM Sunday runs. Afternoon tea will be taken with our DAM fine hosts, Helen and John, at their place. Then they'll lead us across to the hotels in Exmouth. There's no set event for Friday evening, so live it up on the Exmouth seafront, hang out with the beer-swilling locals, gossip with SAMmers and DAMmers, or stay in your room and watch Coronation Street.

Saturday 30 September
John will treat us to a mighty fine DAM ride route. If it's half as good as last year's route (which took in the delights of Exmoor and the North coast) then it will go down in the annals of history as one of the best. There'll be a SAM/DAM dinner in the evening, for those who can tear themselves away from the National Lottery, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and Strictly Dance Fever.

Sunday 1 October
John will lead us out through more wondrous Devon countryside, culminating in a fond farewell somewhere in the east of Devon so that we SAMmers can make our way back to Glos. Timing isn't finalised yet, so it's not clear whether you'll be back in time for Coronation Street.
Accommodation
We will be staying at the Fernside Hotel and Clinton House in Exmouth on the Friday and Saturday nights. Cost is £24 per person per night (bed and breakfast), which represents a generous discount from both establishments in recognition of the fame and kudos afforded by our presence.
