Bit of a ‘Nosh’
Date: 9 July 2005
Well what a day to be stood in front of a B-B-Q, must have been well into the 80’s and that’s before I’d even lit the fire. (I hear it was cooler than this in Spain)?
Well our ‘guests’ started to arrive just after 3pm, and among the first to arrive was our resident ‘chef’ thanks for not letting us down Eric.

Things took a little longer to cook than I had hoped, but nevertheless it was worth waiting for, (even if I do say so myself), anyway for all those who were getting bored with the delay, our ‘tall ships Captain’ was on hand to give a rendition of old sea shanties, (or at least that’s what he told us they were), before tucking in.
Thank you all for coming, (even if a couple of people did arrive after it had all finished, giving the feeble excuse that they had to act as taxi driver for their daughter, then promptly started to smash the place up – sorry Hard-deck, couldn’t resist), Di and I certainly enjoyed the afternoon and your company.
Perhaps we (the club that is) should make this an annual event? Whose turn is it next then guys??
