`Smashing bunch`, lovely weather and a GS 1200 in Ocean Blue, what more can a newly crowned Chairman ask for at the start of a Saturday ride out in May.

With such great company, we set off very briefly up the cold but efficient A417 to Birdlip before disappearing into the lush green surrounds of some of the very best that the Cotswolds can offer.

The charming lower Slaughters with its babbling stream soon made way for Stow, Charlbury, Woodstock, and eventually Bicester where we were to eventually sample what is left of some of Little Chef’s finest.

After the long over due calorie stop, we shortly arrived at our intended destination `On Yer Bike`.

Now for some,i`m sure the sheer expanse of fine machinery such as Guzzi`s,Dukes and Harleys may well have some effect, but for others such as myself that already ride the best of the best!! I’m afraid that the excitement wasn’t quite there for me. Still, like a content parent letting their children run amuck in a sweet shop, I sat back and watched the fervour which resembled some thing like a litter of Labradors all chasing a spilt bag of chocolate maltesers on the floor!

Soon we were on our way again in search of the `twisting black top` and were not disappointed as we coursed a fine route back home through a variety of roads exiting Oxfordshire that we had not seen before.(well the GPS was playing up again you see!!)

My sincere thanks to all that attended especially Nick and Jasmin as they showed considerable restraint whilst riding the Busa behind a very sedate and `running in` GS1200. (But not for long!)
