JUNE CLUB NIGHT 2004
12 full,5 associates,1 social and 2 guests made up the grand total of this fine (and possibly too warm) summer’s evening.
Still, it only takes two to tango! And those that attended made sure they got their monies worth, so to speak.
Anthony Whitehouse was our special guest of the evening, and was genuinely surprised and honored to receive an individual certificate beautifully presented by both Eric and Ros on behalf of the club, in recognition for his very instrumental efforts during the early foundation years of Severn Advanced Motorcyclists which without doubt, has clearly shoved the club in the right direction. `Thanks again Anthony`!.
Captain Canaries Chirps
Kevin Parcel an extended warm welcome to Kevin on his first visit to the club, we can only hope that the depleted numbers during the June meet, and the absence of a speaker has not dampened his enthusiasiam for joining.
Steve McDonald Has reached the grand old age of HALF A CENTURY!! Happy birthday Steve, May all your presents have handles attached, and be topped up with a brew appropriate to a man with vast knowledge and great taste!.
Brian Charlton would like you all to now that he has at last managed to secure and hold down a regular 9 – 5 job, whilst this conformity now makes him more acceptable to society, he wishes to apologize for his recent lack of attendance on club ride outs as his adjustment to this new and unfamiliar role has left him quite physically drained. (Says Sal!)
Please note that his most recent acquisition of a set of BMW`s finest panniers are in no way related to his part time ice cream francise, so please do not expect him to hail stop me and buy one`!
Geoff Pople Sadly, Geoff is off to pastures greener with a posting to Cornwall, so in the fullness of time he will no longer be present at our club nights or ride outs, which as far as the members are concerned will be a great loss.
Geoff has always contributed to all aspects
of the clubs activities, and his gentleman’s approach and effect on others will
no doubt be remembered for some time.
