`What a fantastic morning sun 30c in the shade, This is indeed what
real biking is all about, good company, free time and weather to write home
about.
Now I can’t be held responsible for you lot missing out on such a
momentous occasion such as this, after all, days like these are what memories
are made of,aren`t they Mark!
We all (yes that’s right, all four of us, together!) set off cross-
country (`oh no here we go again`, said John! not more cattle grids) towards
Cirencester cutting a fast`n`furious`pace that would be the making of many a
progressive rider, and arriving all too quickly (well not to quickly) at our
intended breakfast stop at Beanacre which is situated on the A429 just before
Melksham.
Having consumed Olympic breakfasts all round, which incidentally was
`free of charge` that morning to all `Sammie’s`, we waved a hearty farewell to
the more than friendly and efficient staff at `you know where, `! But not
before `plundering the lolly tub prior to continuing on our journey with both
renewed stealth and vigor.
Utilizing a combination of `deadly accurate`navigation, and a little
familiarity with the terrain, we all `sailed`! Across the Salisbury Plains
(courtesy of a little assistance by one of natures elements) with the grace of
a troupe of CE approved and clad, ballerinas.
Stonehenge became a vivid memory as we all marveled at both our good
fortune and the extent of such lush and lavish green pastures that seem to
merge from one horizon to another, providing us with a most satisfying back drop
through out our entire journey home.
`Alas`, like all of my adventures, the time to return to reality
amongst our families was upon us once more, and with it came the sad truth that
all of this was just a dream!, still I got you lot going for a moment, that I’m
sure eh….Budge!!,so until the next time, my sincere and grateful thanks go to
all of the above that made such a quantum effort in contributing towards the `actual`
ride out that may forever remain a complete mystery to most (i doubt it as
well!).
So until the next time!!
`Follow if you dare, pass if you can`
